PRIORITY APPLICATION PERIOD (Sept. 25 - Dec. 1, 2023)

During this time frame, applications are accepted for the 2024-2025 school year.

Lottery results are mailed by the EBR Office of Magnet Programs.​- FEBRUARY 2024 - MAY 2024

Registration for applicants who met final academic eligibility requirements.

EXTENDED APPLICATION PERIODS
Did you miss the priority application period?  Extended application periods are offered.  Seats will be filled by lottery selection on as available basis.

Admission FAQs

What is the cut off birthdate for entering kindergarten?Students must be 5 years old by September 30 of the year they enter kindergarten.

Can new students be accepted in the middle of the school year? According to EBR district policy, Villa del Rey may not enroll any students after the 10th day of the school year.

What is the annual tuition rate? Zero!  Villa del Rey is a public magnet school within the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Tuition is not charged for students who attend.

Is transportation available for Villa del Rey students? Yes! Bus transportation is available for all students enrolled at Villa del Rey.
